According to ATOR, the total increase in tourist flow in the organized segment in the domestic market compared to 2020 amounted to about 30%.

The 2021 season was one of the most difficult for the domestic tourist market. “While there has never been such intense scrutiny of it, from consumers to leaders, there have been several severe disappointments and unfulfilled expectations in the travel industry. On the one hand, cashback, which showed incredible efficiency, literally covered the entire tourism industry of Russia – in each region felt the return on cashback. On the other hand, the regions introduced restrictions one by one that were not always understandable and logical for tourists and market participants. And the rise in demand, which was supposed to end in triumphant numbers, was cut short because restrictions were imposed.”
At the same time, she noted, the dynamics of the return of tourists to the regions remains.
Another important indicator of the outgoing year is the continued growth of the share of organized tourism in Russia.
In 2021, the trend of growth in demand for premium vacations continued, this trend determines the range and plans of investors who will invest in infrastructure.
