Named popular destinations during spring school holidays
The most popular destination for cultural and educational family holidays and organized trips of school groups for spring holidays has become St. Petersburg. This city accounts for 29% of all bookings.
The list of popular destinations for vacation dates also included Moscow (20%) kaliningrad (15%), Kazan (14%) and Minsk (7%).
Tourists traveling with families, as well as school groups are interested in outbound excursions. For example, in addition to St. Petersburg, they visit Tsarskoye Selo, Peterhof, Gatchina, Pavlovsk and Kronstadt. A trip to Kazan often includes excursions to Bolgar and Sviyazhsk. In the Kaliningrad region, tourists visit Svetlogorsk, Zelenogradsk and the village of Yantarny.
Experts also noted that travelers show interest in industrial tourism. Schools request visits to the Kommunarka confectionery factory, BelAZ plant in Belarus, higher educational institutions and research centers. Families with children of primary and secondary school age prefer entertainment facilities and unusual museums.
At the same time, three-day excursion tours to St. Petersburg for a family of two adults and one child will cost 26,750 rubles. Prices for excursion programs in Moscow for the same group for three days start from 32 045 rubles, in Kaliningrad and the region - from 31 676 rubles, in Kazan - from 41 580 rubles, and in Minsk - from 58 501 rubles.
