Named the fastest growing travel destinations for March 8

Favorites for trips for spring holidays - Italy, Germany, Turkey. The biggest interest among travelers from Russia was caused by Latvia - an increase of 133%. Armenia and Hungary are two times more popular than last year.

 

The top ten fastest growing countries included Georgia (+45%), Cyprus (+28%), Switzerland (+30%) Spain (+21%), France (+17%), the Netherlands (+12%), Germany (+9%).

 

On March 8, almost two-thirds of Russian travelers will spend abroad.

 

Dmitry Khavansky, Skyscanner Development Manager, says that Armenia and Georgia have long become favorite places for recreation, where you can live qualitatively and budgetically, and European countries have become popular for several reasons: “Development of route networks of the national low-cost airline “Victory”, thanks to which it is now possible to fly to France, Germany and the Netherlands at better prices <...> low demand for trips in March, and, as a result, low airfare. So, today the average price of a flight from Russia to Latvia is 10’500, to Switzerland – 12,000, to Cyprus – 14,000, which is a third cheaper compared to the same period last year.
