Moscow

Named the most innovative cities in the world

The most innovative city in the world is Boston. This conclusion was reached by the agency 2thinknow, which annually compiles the corresponding rating.

MoscowLast year, which ranked 98th, fell out of the top hundred, leaving not a single Russian city on the list, let alone Ukrainian.

The agency compiled its version of the top 100 innovation centers based on three criteria - cultural assets, human infrastructure and involvement in global economic and trade networks. Second place went to San Francisco, and the third went to Paris, which lost one position compared to last year.

In the top ten were also New York, Vienna, Amsterdam, Munich, Lyon, Copenhagen and Toronto. The ranking is dominated by American and European cities, the hundred included only a few representatives of Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.

The Innovation Cities Top 100 has been published since 2007. In addition to Boston, Vienna became the winners of the rating (in 2007 and 2008).
