Named the most dangerous for tourists in the pandemic

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Germany summed up data on the number of cases of COVID-19 German tourists by country and compiled a list of dangerous destinations.

According to the RKI, 87,572 people have been infected in Germany over the past month, of which 26,218 have been identified as other countries.

The majority of infections currently occur in the Balkan countries: Turkey was the most commonly reported country of infection, with 6,087 tourists infected in the country.

5,700 patients contracted the virus in Kosovo. In third place is Croatia, where almost two and a half thousand Germans were infected. Also in the top ten were popular with tourists Greece and Italy.

At the same time, the institute says that they did not collect information about the purpose of travel: that is, the reason for visits abroad can be not only tourism, but also business trips or meetings with relatives.
