“Incomplete service correspondence”: Putin criticizes ministers over VIM-Avia situation

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov about incomplete service compliance due to the crisis with the aviation company VIM-Avia.

If you deal with this situation quickly and effectively, then we will think with Dmitry Anatolyevich [Medvedev] what to do with this incomplete service compliance. If you do not cope, then we will think too, Putin told Sokolov at a meeting with members of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Vladimir Putin was also dissatisfied with the work of Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, noting that he devotes too little time to the transport industry, despite the fact that he oversees it. The President asked Dvorkovich to submit a list of measures to resolve the situation. “Maybe you are too overwhelmed? We have already talked about this, Putin said.

Last weekend, the situation with the departure of VIM-Avia flights became critical. On September 25, management admits that it does not have the financial means to continue operating and will not be able to conduct charter flights. Regular flights continue. The issue of transportation of VIM-Avia passengers is under the control of Rosaviatsiya and the Ministry of Transport.
