Children will be able to ride trains on their own
From 2018, children over the age of 10 will be able to ride trains without their parents. Such information is reported by Peter Ivanov, General Director of the FPC (“daughter” of Russian Railways).
In the near future, the carrier is going to launch the service of escorting a minor passenger. The plan is to transfer the child at the point of arrival to a trusted person.
Also this year, the depth of sales of railway tickets will increase to 120 days. There will be an opportunity to purchase tickets for those routes whose schedules remain stable throughout the seasons.
