Non-refundable train tickets will be on sale from January 20
From January 20 this year, non-refundable tickets will be sold on long-distance trains.
A bill that would allow the sale of non-refundable tickets has been under discussion since 2012.
The press service of the carrier informs: “From January 20, 2019, Federal Passenger Company JSC will offer passengers to use a special “non-refundable” fare for travel in CV cars, compartments and seats (in the unregulated segment).”
The cost of a non-refundable ticket will be cheaper than usual from 5% to 20%. The difference depends on the train, direction, travel time.
First of all, non-refundable tickets will apply to parts of pilot routes, and later they will be introduced in all trains of Federal Passenger Company JSC (a subsidiary of Russian Railways).
