The beginning of the festive season in de Bijenkorf

De Bijenkorf was founded in 1870 and is the most prestigious department store in the Netherlands. The flagship department store is located in a historic building on Dam Square in the heart of Amsterdam. The other 11 department stores are located in Rotterdam, The Hague, Amstelven, Arnhem, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Den Bosch, Breda, Groningen, Maastricht and Enschede.
100 new brands in the new season
Maje, Sandro and COS recently opened their stores in our flagship department store in Amsterdam. Design brands such as Acne, Paul Smith and Marc by Marc Jacobs are represented in the menswear department, while Stella McCartney and Agent Provocateur are represented in the womenswear department. Children's collections Woolrich, Burberry and Armani appeared, and the brands Givenchy, Isabel Marant and Alexander Wang are represented in the accessories department.
In addition, in our department store in Amsterdam you will find boutiques of top fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Burberry, Gucci, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Mulberry, Cyline and many others.
Holiday season
With the support of the mayor of Amsterdam, the festive season kicks off in de Bijenkorf, with a stunning light and entertainment show on Dam Square on November 29 at 7 p.m. The facade de Bijenkorf will be decorated with more than 100,000 energy-saving lamps. This impressive lighting can be seen until January 2013.
And between December 17 and 24, we expect Santa Claus to come to our stores, so don’t miss the opportunity to see him!
