New aviation rules for the carriage of hand luggage in aircraft will work from November 5
From November 5, the updated rules for carrying hand luggage on air transport begin to work in the Russian Federation - the information is contained in the order of the Ministry of Transport, it is published on the legal information portal.
Under the new rules, the free allowance of hand luggage, which is set by the airline, should not be less than 5 kilograms. Hand luggage more than this norm should be transferred to the luggage compartment.
Also, a person can take flowers (a bouquet), a backpack or a ladies' bag, outerwear, specialized food for a child during the flight and a device for carrying it, a suit in a briefcase, medicines in the amount necessary for the flight, special crutches, canes, walkers, rollers and other technical means of rehabilitation, a folding wheelchair, medicines and Duty Free products (the dimensions of the backpack and package with goods from these stores are proposed to be called by aviation companies themselves).
The list of items that are transported above the norm does not include phones, cameras, other electronic devices, umbrellas and books, due to the fact that they can be carried in a handbag, briefcase or backpack.
