What new destinations in Egypt are popular with Russian tourists
Russian travelers are increasingly choosing not only traditional resorts EgyptHurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, but also new locations.
In the south of the country, Aswan and Luxor are popular, and in the north - the Mediterranean resorts of El Alamein and Alexandria, which are locally called the "Egyptian Maldives".
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt Sherif Fathi noted that Russians even get to the Siwa Oasis, located about 300 km southwest of the Mediterranean coast. Tourists are attracted to sand dunes, ideal for sandboarding, as well as the island of Fantasia on Lake Siva, known for its magnificent sunsets.
