The new Titanic will sail in 2022
There was interesting news for all fans of history, travel and sentimental cinema. In 2022, an exact replica of the Titanic, the RMS Titanic, will embark on a sea cruise from Dubai to Southampton, Britain.
During the summer navigation, the ship will perform regular sea voyages between England and the United States, and then before the end of the year will conduct several more world cruises.
"Titanic II" will be equipped with all modern amenities and technologies of the XXI century. Those who remember the history of the original ship need not worry: the replica is equipped with the latest navigation and safety systems.
The first time about the construction of the new Titanic was said in 2012. The project was suspended due to financial difficulties of the owner - Blue Star Line (Australia). After solving economic problems, construction work at the shipyard was resumed.
The $500 million vessel will be able to accommodate 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members. The exterior of the ship and its interiors should be an exact replica of the original Titanic, even the legendary staircase, dining room and ballroom.
The cost of tickets for the first flight of the new Titanic is not yet known, and it is not clear whether Leonardo DiCaprio will take part in the premiere.
