New procedure for issuing visas in Russia

The list of grounds for obtaining a private Russian visa was supplemented in accordance with government decree No. 838 of October 18 this year. From now on, such a visa can be obtained thanks to the decision of the head of the diplomatic mission or consulate of Russia. To do this, you need a written statement of a citizen of the Russian Federation that together with him, members of his family who are foreigners enter the territory of Russia. These amendments will not affect tourism. When applying for a regular tourist visa, it is still necessary to indicate the registration number of the host organization, the confirmation number of admission of a foreign tourist, the date of entry into Russia on the form.
