Tourists are increasingly interested in authentic travel in the regions of Russia, as well as in “local” recreation, analysts say.
“The interregional tourism market is on the rise. People are increasingly striving for authentic and cognitive travel in Russia, immersing themselves in the traditions of the regions, which forms a collective image of our great country. However, there is also a high demand for “local” holidays within the region of residence, she said.
According to her, the direction of recreation in the fresh air is actively developing: amusement parks and theme parks, country bath rest, active entertainment at the bases, as well as contact zoos.
She noted that there is a decrease in the return rate of guests to tourist places, as people prefer a variety of experiences. Travelers are looking for unique and memorable leisure options. In this regard, there is a growing demand for immersive and themed entertainment, as well as cognitive leisure and unusual types of tourism, such as agricultural and industrial.
In addition, lovers of fishing, hunting, cheesemaking and mushroom picking can attract rural tourism, and enthusiasts of skiing and bicycles - sports tourism.
Tourists can consider traveling by motorhome or head to retreat centers, as well as spiritual and yoga tours, including visiting remote regions of the country.
Connoisseurs of nature can choose glamping - camping with amenities. There are more than 300 of them across Russia, the analyst noted. There is also a camp for children with diabetes, where endocrinologists work.
