Olympic Sochi - on the way to the peaks in HoReCa

From 7 to 9 September 2010 in the largest exhibition center of the city of Sochi in the GC "Pearl" held a significant event for industry professionals HoReCa - the eleventh international specialized exhibition-fair "Hotel-House-Restaurant-Furniture" and the third international exhibition "Caucasian picnic".

For the convenience of exhibitors and visitors in 2010, the exhibition was held in September, in the midst of the “velvet” season. Despite the negative consequences of the financial and economic crisis, Sochi was and remains a priority region of Russia. In his welcoming address to the guests and participants of the event, Gennady Andreyevich Lamshin said in particular: Dear friends! I am pleased to welcome all participants of this exhibition and hotel forum on behalf of the Russian Hotel Association and, accordingly, all hotels of the Russian Federation. Today, together with the opening of the exhibition, we are opening the forum “Hotel Business: Consequences of the Crisis”. For many years we have been cooperating with SOUD-Sochi Exhibitions, we are long-standing partners and friends. It is a crisis, but we need to work and let this exhibition turn out to be small, but within the framework of such a large forum, it will definitely bring fruit to all participants. I wish all the participants of the exhibition and forum the strengthening of already established business relations and success in concluding new contracts!
The main business event of the exhibition was the scientific and practical conference “Hotel business: consequences of the crisis”, held within the framework of the hotel forum. The organizer was the Russian Hotel Association. On September 8, 9 and 10, in the Panorama Hall, more than 50 hoteliers from all over Russia received the opportunity to improve their qualifications at certified courses, take part in conferences on topical issues of the industry, learn the results of the professional competition “The Best Hotels of Russia-2010” in the nominations of 5, 4, 3 and 2 stars, take part in the traditional billiards tournament for the prize of the Russian Hotel Association, information tours to places of vacationers and events of the excursion program.
The exhibition was attended by 50 companies from Russia and Finland. During the three days of work, 2300 people visited the exhibition, including 680 visitors-specialists from the Volga Federal District, the Central Federal District, and the Southern Federal District. The total area of the exhibition was 1200 square meters. m.
