The organizer of the exhibition MITT became a member of the Russian Union of Travel Industry
I.T.I. became a member of PCT, which is a member of the international ITE group and is one of the leaders in organizing professional exhibitions and conferences on the Russian market. ITE has been engaged in exhibitions since 1991, has 25 representative offices around the world and annually hosts about 180 international events. ITE is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has more than 800 qualified employees.
The company is a member of the World Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the Russian-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC), the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), the Moscow International Business Association (MIBA), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). And now the Russian Union of Travel Industry.
70% of ITE’s business is concentrated in Russia, the company holds its most important exhibitions in Moscow. Among them are the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe construction and interior exhibition "Mosbild", the exhibition "Oil and Gas" and the Russian oil and gas Congress, the exhibition "The whole world of food" and "Motor Show". Travel and Tourism (MITT), which takes place annually in March, is the third most important exhibition in the world after the London WTM and Berlin ITB.
“It is absolutely logical that the organizer of the country’s leading tourism exhibition has become a full partner of the largest tourism industry association,” said I.T.I. Director General Alexander Stalenkov. I am sure that this is a mutually beneficial decision: our cooperation will contribute to attracting new exhibitors to MITT and stepping up entry into the PCT.
“Very many companies that are part of our organization participate in MITT,” says RST President Sergey Shpilko. And if the project is of interest to the members of the Union, then we must support it, this is one of the principles of our work.
MITT's motto is "The whole world." One exhibition”. Last year, 3,000 companies from 157 countries and regions participated in the forum. About 80,000 visitors visited nine exhibition halls in four days. MITT-2011 will be held on March 16-19 at the Expocentre in Krasnaya Presnya, and, judging by the dynamics of bookings, it will still increase.
For example, Japan ordered a stand with an area of 143 square meters, which is 30% more than at the last exhibition. India has almost doubled the area from 56 to 108 square meters. Israel has grown by 100 square meters to 513 square meters. Having missed one year, Singapore returned to the exhibition - 54 sq. m.
The company Coral Travel, a strategic partner of the exhibition, in 2011 expands the stand to 649 sq.m. - 159 sq.m more than it was at MITT-2010. Applications for increasing the stands were submitted by tour operators TUI, Anex, Danko, Labyrinth, ICS and others.
In Moscow, the Visit USA Committee was formed, and for the first time at MITT, American companies will act as a single stand – 100 square meters. Monaco opened a representative office for tourism in Moscow, which confirmed its participation in the exhibition with a separate stand. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi has for the first time confirmed its participation in MITT with an area of 150 square meters. Also today, among the new participants of the company St.Peterline, Poseidon Expeditions, Mosturflot, Resort Store, Continental AG, Sputnik Hermes.
In addition to the Moscow MITT, ITE holds tourist exhibitions in Novosibirsk (Tursib), Kiev (UITT), Almaty (KITF), Baku (AITF), Istanbul (EMITT).
