Ostankino TV Tower will be included in the excursion program of Moscow
At the initiative of the Committee on Tourism and Hotel Management of the city of Moscow, a meeting was held between representatives of leading Russian travel agencies and the head of the service for organizing and developing commercial projects of the concert and entertainment complex of the Korolevsky TV Tower Maria Kiselyova, during which the possibility of including the Ostankino TV Tower in excursion tours for foreign and Russian tourists was discussed.
Representatives of agencies were interested in the possibility of booking tickets for tourist groups in advance. Questions were raised about parking for buses, payment methods and discounts on excursions, age restrictions, opportunities for free visits for tourists, restrictions on weather conditions.
Tours to the TV tower can be organized at any time, only in advance.
Regarding the pass mode, Maria Kiseleva noted: “This is a security facility, so to buy a ticket, you must present an identity document: a passport, driver’s license or social card. When entering, identity identification takes some time. We are now trying to speed up the process.”
In the near future, foreign tourists will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide or interpreters will be provided with the text of the tour, so that the accompanying guests prepare a translation into various languages in advance. In the future, the Commercial Projects Organization Service should prepare audio guides in five foreign languages.
Today, having bought a ticket for the excursion, visitors can take a high-speed elevator to the closed observation deck at an altitude of 337 meters in 58 seconds. One of its features is a special touch terminal, with which you can connect to any webcam installed on the TV tower for an additional fee and see the part of the city of interest. Anyone can also use a telescope. In summer there is also an open observation deck at an altitude of 340 meters.
The tour usually lasts about an hour. An adult ticket with a visit to a closed area only costs 850 rubles. The price of a ticket with a visit to both observation decks is 1200 rubles. There are benefits for students and students.
