Holidays in Egypt are becoming more dangerous to life
A state of emergency was recently introduced in Egypt. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation strongly recommends that tourists refrain from visiting this country.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry advised vacationers only to avoid visiting crowded places and not to leave the hotel for a long time. However, the situation is becoming more dangerous.
It is worth noting that, despite the fact that many people died during the mass uprisings and riots in Egypt, Russians continued to visit the resorts of the country, and prices for vouchers remained at the same level.
Rospotrebnadzor has opened a special hotline for those who decide to pass vouchers and return the money.
In Rospotrebnadzor reported: "The obligation to return the relevant funds, in the case of the exercise by the tourist of his legal right to unilateral termination of the contract, lies exclusively with the tour operator (travel agent), as a party to the contract on the sale of the tourist product."
At the moment, tourists who are already in Egypt are entitled to free evacuation to their homeland. Today, there are about 50 thousand Russian citizens in the resorts of the country.
Tourist police advise holidaymakers not to leave hotels. All excursions are cancelled.
Due to the introduction of the state of emergency in Egypt, Rosturizm resumed the work of the operational headquarters and is preparing to send a special unit to collect information about the situation in the resorts and assist Russian tourists.
It is worth noting that, according to Rostourism employees, complaints from tourists vacationing in the resorts of Egypt have not yet been received.
