Hotel in Phuket sheltered Russian travelers
The owner of a hotel in Phuket “hosted” stranded Russian tourists who had previously been forced to “apart” next to the crematorium on the territory of the temple.
Russians 24, 29 and 31 years old (two are married couples), were among 20 thousand of our tourists stuck in the country, as the export flight was canceled.
“I do not want the name of the hotel to be reproached for doing so in the interest of advertising. They stay in my hotel for free. "At least it's better to sleep here than next to a place where corpses are burned," says the hotel owner. All hotels in Thailand must be closed by government order.
The local administration reports that local residents and monks have been helping Russians, and this has been going on for more than a week – bringing them food, etc. At the same time, Russian tourists are disciplined and responsive, respond to the requests of their “owners”, observe the curfew.
In Thailand More than 10,000 of our compatriots remain. Of these, 8,000 are on Phuket Island. Locals and monks also supported and fed tourists stranded on Koh Samui.
