Hotels in Turkey keep prices for Russians
In the summer resort season of 2022, owners of five-star hotels in Antalya do not raise prices for accommodation for Russians by more than 10% - despite an increase in annual inflation in Turkey to 70%.
The prospects of reducing the flow of Russians to Turkey in the 2022 season due to the transport crisis make the issue of holiday prices in Turkey the main one for the tourism industry of this country.
The main flow of Russians flies to Turkey by Turkish Airlines flights, tour operators take blocks of seats on them, and such transportation is more expensive than the “ordinary” Russian charters of tour operators in 2021 (the route is lengthened – the flight goes through European countries).
Turkish hoteliers are holding back the growth of rates for accommodation - so that the cost of a tour package for Russians is acceptable. Our compatriots remain one of the key segments for Turkish hoteliers.
The bet on the Russians is strategic. In the 2022 season, the Russians will accept Mir cards in their favorite hotels.
