The official believes that this case once again shows the high level of terrorist threat in the Arab Republic, and the conclusions about its closure to travelers from the Russian Federation were absolutely correct.
"We understand, of course, that the suspension of flights to Egypt does not improve relations between our countries, but the safety of Russian citizens is paramount," the official said.
The head of the Department for Tourism Development of ARE Hisham El-Demeri in early autumn said that the access of Russians to the beaches of the Red Sea will take several days. The opening of flights with Egypt is a matter of several weeks, at most two months. First, air communication with Cairo will open, then flights to Hurghada will be resumed, and then to Sharm el-Sheikh, the representative of the Republic explained at a meeting with M. Lomidze, ATOR Executive Director.
