There will be no abolition of the visa regime between Turkey and Russia.

During the recent visit of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Turkey, negotiations were underway to sign an agreement through which the visa regime between the two countries would be abolished. But according to Turkish Ambassador to Russia Khalil Akinci, the heads of state have not signed the relevant documents. This, of course, upset many Russians, because today Turkey is one of the most popular resort countries for our fellow citizens. However, Akinji does not rule out the possibility of signing this agreement in the summer of 2010. We hope he's right.
