Pilgrimage to Turin

For 44 days, Turin hosted the most important event of the year - the Shroud of Turin. Orthodox pilgrims from Russia, Ukraine and European countries also visited Turin. Among them were politicians and businessmen. In front of the Shroud, exhibited under glass in the altar part of the cathedral, many priests who came with their parishioners served the service. Today the Shroud is again in its place in the cathedral. It is stored in cancer of the latest metals, protected by bulletproof glass. The pilgrimage to this most important relic of Christendom is not over. Believers can approach the place of its storage, it is separated from the rest of the temple.
