Monuments do not tolerate the heat well

In St. Petersburg, a stele made of glass – a gift from France for the 300th anniversary of the city can not withstand such a temperature. Small cracks began to appear on the monument. Transparent panels with the inscription “peace” in different languages are still kept, but the fact that it is necessary to restore the structure is already obvious. The designers did not take into account that at high temperatures, the glass (and there are several layers there) will begin to expand, and cracks will appear. But more importantly, this heat is very bad for people. At Moscow doctors work at least ample – we even have to cancel pre-planned operations. Even healthy people have a hard time. Moreover, the metro recorded a temperature record of 32 degrees Celsius at the station “River station”.
