Passengers of Russian trains will be offered to travel in capsules
General Director of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov said that seat-card cars in domestic trains can replace cars with passenger capsules.
The head of the company says that the Russian Railways are going to review the arrangement of seat-card cars. In the near future, new types of cars with personal comfort zones may appear on the railways of the Russian Federation.
Now one of the options is a seat for passengers capsule type. Capsules provide an individual space for a person, and the passenger can remake the seat individually for himself.
Capsule seats will be equipped with outlets and access to Wi-Fi. The new type of cars will be tested by passengers, and then they will be improved taking into account the comments.
In August, Russian Railways presented its annual report, which outlined the main tasks of the company until 2030. According to the document, the trains in the future will be divided into three varieties: day express, night and traditional train. Each of them, in turn, will be divided into several classes of services: “economy budget”, “economy”, “comfort” and “business”.
