Aviasales interviewed the passengers of the planes and was able to find out why some of them get in line for boarding earlier than others.

41% of the study participants want to be the first to board and put their luggage on the shelf before others. One respondent said he only travels with carry-on baggage and is more comfortable if the bag is on the shelf right above his chair.

Some passengers worry that the cabin may not have enough space for their jacket or backpack.

About a quarter of respondents say they stand in line to... Stand in line. Someone explained this by boredom, someone by “herd instinct”, someone by the struggle against varicose veins.

19% believe that if you take a queue in advance, you can avoid overbooking and fly away. One passenger said that his friends could not get on the plane because of this - they had to wait for the arrival of their comrades on the next flight.
