A personal guide congratulates everyone on World Tourism Day!

September 27 is World Tourism Day - an international holiday established by the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in 1979 in the city of Torremolinos (Spain). Tourism Day has been celebrated in Russia since 1983.

The World Tourism Organization proclaims the motto of the holiday every year. In 2017, he said, “Sustainable tourism is a tool for development.”

People were always interested in traveling and wanted to discover new lands. Travelers Marco Polo, Ibn Batutu, Francis Drake, Richard Barton, Christopher Columbus, David Livingstone, Ranulf Fannes, Vasco da Gama, Fedor Konyukhov and many other brave explorers crossed cotinents and oceans to explore unknown continents, risked their lives and were pioneers. Currently, almost the entire Earth is open, and people set themselves new goals: descend into the oceans, fly into space, go underground.

Maybe the exploits of past and present travelers will inspire you to travel and discover.

We congratulate our users and readers on World Tourism Day, we wish everyone to travel more and explore the world!
