First European country to lift quarantine restrictions

Austria Quarantine measures will be gradually eased. We are not talking about the complete lifting of the quarantine, but it was announced that small shops with an area of up to 400 square meters will start working in the country from April 14, and from May shopping centers and other places of trade will open.

Restaurants and cafes will have to wait a long time – their work will be allowed only in mid-May, if all is well. Mass events will not be launched before summer.

The country's chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, said Austria had responded quickly and harshly to the spread of the coronavirus. That is why it will come out of the crisis faster.

However, citizens are still asked to wear masks on public transport, comply with travel restrictions, and not gather in large companies.

“In addition, you should not celebrate Easter with people outside your home. Easter week will be crucial, the chancellor said.

Note that Austria is not the only country where there are statements about the relaxation of quarantine. Thus, the head of the Ministry of Health of the “seriously affected” Italy, Roberto Speranza, announced that the “second phase” of quarantine begins, it also involves the weakening of blocking.
