It is planned to open the Dovlatov Museum

In the village of Berezino, Pushkin district, Pskov region, it has long been planned to open a museum named after Sergei Dovlatov. Now we can say that this project is really being implemented, since a group of investors bought a house in which the famous writer lived in 1977. At this time, Dovlatov conducted excursions around the Pushkin Reserve (after which the legendary story “Reserve” was written). The former owner of the house managed to keep it in good condition, but investors are nevertheless going to take the first step to carry out the work on the preservation of the building to implement the reconstruction plan. For the exhibition, Dovlatov’s friends and relatives will provide the museum with his personal belongings. The opening is scheduled for September 3, 2011, just in time for the 70th anniversary of the writer.
