The law was discussed in the State Duma in the first reading, and on July 19 in the third reading it was adopted. 317 MPs voted for the introduction of the resort fee - more than 70% of the total number of participants in the discussion.
According to the adopted law, in four regions of Russia – the Republic of Crimea, the Altai Territory, the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories – in 2018-2022, a resort fee will be introduced. At first, the measure will be experimental, that is, with successful practice, the collection will become permanent. What's a resort fee? Payment for staying at the resort and using public tourist benefits. The program will start on May 1, 2018, the fee will be 50 rubles per day per person. From 2019, you will need to pay 100 rubles.
The collected funds will go to the regional budget of the subjects participating in the experiment. Special funds will be established for collection and control under the same budgets. They will be responsible for the “right” spending.
