Lago-Naki Plateau closed for walking

Due to the avalanche danger, the Caucasian State Nature Biosphere Reserve has restricted access to the Lago-Naki Plateau for hiking groups of tourists.

“We do not currently sell tickets for pedestrian exits to the plateau and have introduced stricter visual controls. Only ski and snowmobile routes operate on equipped routes. The ban on walking will be lifted when weather conditions allow, said Nikolai Yeskin, deputy director of the reserve.
