Odessa beaches threatened by algae
A large spot of algae is located in the waters of the Odessa Gulf and moves towards the “Dolphin”. Its area is about twelve square kilometers! And the cause of the appearance, found 200 meters from the water's edge, spots experts are not yet known. One version was the release of harmful substances from various ships. But such cases near Odessa were not recorded. Also, the water sample showed a complete absence of all kinds of chemicals in the unexpected contamination. But at the same time, the concentration of suspensions is exceeded by 10 times! That's 47-64 milligrams per liter. Environmentalists are calming the public, suggesting that the spot is caused by a storm that raised seaweed from the bottom.
