“Victory” will make check-in for the flight paid
Budget air carrier “Victory” on August 8 published a press release, in which he announced the need to introduce a paid check-in for the flight.
From October 28, passengers at foreign airports will have to pay 25 euros for this service. At the same time, low-cost customers can still register free of charge at air hubs or using the Victory website.
In the aviation company, such measures are explained by an increase in expenses for aviation kerosene - by 10% compared to fuel costs in 2017. According to management, the carrier wants to avoid the need to increase the cost of air tickets.
Andrey Kalmykov, CEO of Pobeda, asks passengers who will fly from abroad to use the online check-in, which starts 24 hours before the start of the flight.
International low-cost destinations: Alania, Istanbul, Berlin, Baden-Baden, Cologne, Leipzig, Bergamo, Florence, Venice, Varna, Bratislava, Larnaca, Tivat.
The airline wants to equalize its costs not by profit from check-in for a flight abroad, but by reducing the cost of customer service at airports.
The same methods of work are practiced by low-cost airlines in many countries. Airport infrastructure is being automated and allows carriers to save money by reducing the number of working staff.
Independent online check-in for passengers of low-cost airlines abroad is a common practice.
