Why are deaths with Russians on vacation in Turkey more frequent?

About 90 Russians died in Russia Turkey Since the beginning of the current tourist season, which is associated with the growth of tourist flow from Russia, said the Russian Ambassador in Ankara Alexei Yerkhov.

According to the official, the ongoing season has become difficult. As for the number of incidents with Russian tourists in southern Turkey. To date, 88 deaths have been recorded, as well as about 40 medical evacuations. This is due to the increasing tourist flow from Russia. So, last year about 6 million of our citizens visited Turkey, this year they should be, according to forecasts, more, Yerkhov said.

Ah. Yerkhov notes that our domestic agencies and partners in Turkey are taking the necessary measures aimed at ensuring the safety of tourists, preventing the causes of accidents. The ambassador hopes to deal with the situation.

Ah. Erkhov believes that the reasons for what is happening with travelers from Russia, the most banal. “For example, a state of health. We are talking about elderly people suffering from cardiovascular diseases. They come to Turkey, where, especially in summer, the weather and climatic conditions are significantly different from the Russian ones. Hot, stuffy, high humidity. Hence heart attacks, strokes”.

Recently, there have been more road accidents with tourist buses, and at pedestrian crossings. Alexey Yerkhov asks you to pay attention to compliance with traffic rules and apply for transfers and excursions to the services of proven, certified travel companies, avoid questionable, inexpensive offers.

The Ambassador believes that often the Russians, abusing the advantages of the all-inclusive system, become the cause of tragedies themselves, not observing basic security standards. It should be noted that the use of alcoholic beverages almost automatically excludes the incident from the category of insurance events, and the financial costs fall on the victims and their loved ones.
