The government allowed to issue tickets for long-distance trains using biometrics
The government has given permission to use biometrics when issuing tickets and boarding long-distance trains. The relevant resolution is published on the official placement website of legal acts.
The decree comes into force from September 1, 2025.
"On approval of the rules for the provision of services for the transportation of passengers, as well as cargo, baggage and cargo baggage for personal, family, household and other needs not related to the implementation of entrepreneurial activities, and recognition as invalid some acts and certain provisions of certain acts of the Government of the Russian Federation" (Collection of legislation of the Russian Federation, 2021, No. 23, Art. 4058; 2024, No. 18, Art. 2439)
