The Russian government is going to approve a proposal to look after foreign guests
The Russian government on Thursday approved bills that oblige Russians and companies under the threat of a fine to monitor that the goals and terms of arrival of foreign guests.
There are plans to add new information to Article 16 of the Federal Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" and Article 18.9 of the Administrative Offences Code.
There is an assumption that the bills, after their approval by the State Duma, will establish the obligations of the host party "to take measures to ensure that foreign citizens comply with the stated purpose of entering Russia and the terms of their stay in Russia." It is possible to introduce administrative liability of legal entities and officials acting as an inviting party for non-compliance with these rules.
