The process of registration of passports simplified
From September 1, Russians – residents of small settlements, can issue new passports with the help of multifunctional centers.
The service for issuing biometric documents should be available in at least one MFC in urban districts and administrative centers with a population of more than 50 thousand people.
In February 2018, the requirement came into force, according to which MFCs began issuing new passports in urban districts and administrative centers of municipal districts, whose population is above 100,000 people.
You can also apply for a new document valid for 10 years using the Internet. After registration of the document in the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it must also be taken to the MFC.
On August 3, the law on increasing the state duty for a biometric passport came into force in Russia from 3,500 to 5,000 rubles (for children under 14 years old, from 1,500 to 2,500). Experts believe that this will increase the amount of income that goes to the federal budget to 42.3 billion rubles a year.
