Sale of tours with cashback ends early on March 1
Rostourism on the night of March 1 will prematurely close sales of tours with cashback in connection with the exhaustion of funds allocated for it.
For the current stage of the program, almost 700 thousand people used the offer, in total, more than 2.5 billion rubles were returned to people.
The head of the department Zarina Doguzova: "... the sales window will be completed ahead of schedule - on the night of March 1. Everyone who planned to use the program has a few more days to do so.”
For 2022, within the framework of the national tourism project, 5 billion rubles were laid for the implementation of the cashback program. Some of the funds are planned for the spring stage of sales, some for the autumn.
When tourists use the funds planned for a particular stage, sales under the program are completed.
The cashback tour sales program appeared in 2020 amid a pandemic to support the country’s tourism industry. Under the terms of the action, you can return 20% of the cost of the tour in Russia, no more than 20 thousand rubles.
According to the Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Yuri Barzykin, in fact, half of the funds were used, which was directed to cashback - 2.5 billion rubles.
