Travelers from Russia do not abandon Israel because of the declared intifada
In Palestine, the Arabs declared a third intifada, in fact, a war against Israel, its cause was the official recognition of Jerusalem by the United States as the capital of Israel and the transfer of the embassy there from Tel Aviv.
The first two intifadas brought many difficulties to Israel, including a major undermining of tourist arrivals, and the current intifada has failed to reduce the tourist attraction of the Jewish state. According to tour operators, now the sale of vouchers to Israel is at the level of 2016, and excursions occur as usual.
“It must be understood that nothing is happening in Israel itself. Moreover, Israel regards Jerusalem as its capital and speaks loudly about it. In Jerusalem, since the early 50s, there are the Knesset, i.e. the parliament, the president, and almost all the ministries of Israel. Formally, Tel Aviv was the capital of the country for only a couple of years, said Oleg Dragunsky, a representative-consultant in Russia of the tourism organization Israel2Go. The expert draws attention to the fact that all states understand this, but this fact was not formally recognized – embassies were placed around Tel Aviv, and held meetings with the president and deputies in Jerusalem.
In the state itself, the protests were spot-on, taking place in East Jerusalem (the Damascus Gate of the Old City) last Friday and Saturday, that is, on the Israeli weekend. The Arabs complained, but no more. The Israeli police in this case guarantees order, so the unrest was not significant.
