Swiss Visa Service Fee Increased
Starting from the first of January of this year, applicants for Swiss visas have to pay the newly increased service fee of the visa center of Switzerland – now instead of 1097 rubles for processing documents will ask for 1285 rubles. At the same time, the size of the visa fee for all Schengen countries, including Switzerland, which is 35 euros, remained unchanged.
Documents for a visa to Switzerland during the last New Year holidays (during the period from the first to the eighth of January inclusive) were not accepted – both the Embassy of the country and its Consulate General, as well as the customer support service and visa centers of Switzerland rested on the Russian labor calendar, but from yesterday, from Thursday the ninth of November, the reception of documents and the issuance of passports resumed in normal mode. On weekdays, Swiss visa centers throughout Russia receive visitors from nine in the morning to four in the afternoon.
It is worth noting that Moscow tourists had the opportunity to submit documents to the consulate, while in St. Petersburg the reception of applications on the first of January was stopped, so applications had to be sent to visa centers.
The number of visa centers in Switzerland and other Schengen countries in Russia is constantly growing. For example, in mid-January in Perm will open a new visa center in Germany. It will operate on the basis of a joint service and visa center located at 26 Lenin Street.
