Rating of the most tourist cities of Russia
The analytical agency Turstat has prepared a rating of Russian cities by the number of tourists per capita.
The top was presented based on the results of the study of tourist attendance of cities in relation to their population in 2017. The list does not include resort towns.
In the top ten cities of Russia in demand for guests per resident, there are tourist cities of the Golden Ring of Russia in the Moscow, Yaroslavl, Vladimir and Ivanovo regions, in the Vologda, Leningrad and Nizhny Novgorod regions and in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Top 10 Russian cities by attendance per capita among tourists Plyos in the Ivanovo region (210 tourists per year / resident),suzdal in the Vladimir region (175 tourists / residents), Bulgarian in Tatarstan (63 tourists / residents), Kirillov in Vologda region (47 tourists / residents), Myshkin. in the Yaroslavl region (32 tourists / residents), Gorodets in the Nizhny Novgorod region (20 tourists / residents), Sergius Posad in the Moscow region (18 tourists / residents), uglich in the Yaroslavl region (13 tourists / residents), Vyborg in the Leningrad region (12 tourists / residents) and Kolomna in the Moscow region (10 tourists / residents).
According to analysts, travelers come to the most popular cities of Russia on average for one or two days, often on weekends and holidays.
