Self-isolation in Russia extended until May 11
The regime of “self-isolation” in Russia “stretched” at least until the end of the may holidays. Officially, it will continue until May 11 inclusive.
In the future, the country will be “segmented”, and self-isolation measures will be taken in different regions in different ways. Such an appeal was made on April 28 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Of course, I want the inconveniences to end as soon as possible. But, again, to rely on the fact that the threat has allegedly decreased and will now definitely bypass us would be careless. Even dangerous.
Vladimir Putin noted that in the days between the May holidays “and in a normal situation, many would not work, take time off or vacations.” “Now, let alone risk. Therefore, I think it is correct to declare these three days non-working, with the preservation of wages.”
Vladimir Putin instructed the Government to form by May 5 “criteria for successive steps to overcome the restrictions”, according to his statement, “a large-scale plan will be prepared to restore the economy after the epidemic.”
Isolation will not be abolished by Russia at once. The country will “continue to remain segmented after May 12”: in some places, the measures of self-isolation will be weakened, in others – toughened, and free movement between regions may be limited.
