Rosaviatsia: Russia and Cuba will work on the issue of expanding air traffic between the countries
March 19 as part of the visit of the Minister of Tourism Cuba Juan Carlos Garcia Granda in Russia held a meeting with the head of Rosaviation Alexander Neradko.
During the meeting, we agreed to further study the issue of expanding bilateral air traffic, taking into account the epidemiological situation in Russia and Cuba. The Russian side informed about the high degree of readiness of airlines to resume flights between Russia and Cuba in full.
Rosaviatsia reports that in the current conditions of a limited number of flights between the countries, a high level of commercial load of flights by Russian airlines was noted.
Air traffic between Russia and Cuba started in late October, since the beginning of November, tour operators have launched charter programs. Flights are operated only to the airport of the island of Cayo Coco, tourists are forbidden to enter the large island.
Russians to enter Cuba need a negative PCR test for coronavirus (do not earlier than 72 hours before the trip). On arrival, the analysis will be taken again). Upon arrival in Cuba, tourists must prove that they have COVID-19 health insurance (if necessary, they purchase it at the airport for $30).
