Russian street for the first time became the most beautiful in the world according to CNN Travel
The editorial office of CNN Travel (USA) published the top of the most beautiful streets in the world, where people spend a lot of time: go to meetings, walks, shopping, admire the ancient architecture and landscapes.
CNN lists streets from all continents. The TOP-21 includes 12 streets of European cities, three Asian locations, two African and North American, one each from Australia and South America.
For the first time, a street from Russia was included in this list. This is Nevsky Prospect in St. Petersburg.
Nevsky Prospect, designed by Peter the Great in the early XVIII century, is the main street of St. Petersburg, running from the Admiralty to the Moscow railway station. Its historic buildings are among the best preserved in Russia, including the Church of the Savior on Blood and the majestic Kazan Cathedral.
