Russian passport takes record position in World Citizenship Index

Henley & Partners introduced the updated World Citizenship Index, which ranks passports of all countries on 7 indicators.

The new version of the rating from a well-known consulting company has changed, for example, the developers have adjusted the method of scoring points, and changed the data in all studies conducted since 2011.

The Russian passport showed the best result in 8 years.

It turned out that the most valuable passport of late was not Germany, but France. In 2018, the French travel document scored 83.5 points out of 100, while the German shared second and third place with the Dutch – both earned 82.8 points.

Russia took 62nd place with 42 points - a record. Compared to 2011, Russia was able to rise by 11 lines, and its passport received 8.3 points.
