Russia in Antalya broke the record of all time
According to the results of the past nine months of 2018, 4.13 million tourist arrivals from Russia were recorded at the resort of the Republic of Turkey, and this was able to exceed the annual figures of the past.
Until now, more than 4 million tourists from one country Antalya could not take even a year.
According to the Antalya administration, the city is in the best period of its tourist history after a particularly difficult two years. In January-September, 11,117,460 foreign tourists visited Antalya, according to statistics from the two airports of the province, which is 27.56% higher than in the same time of 2017. These figures beat the volume of 2017, when the resort received 10.5 million guests from other countries.
For 9 months, 4,134,102 citizens of the Russian Federation visited Antalya (+22.5% compared to the same time in 2017, an increase of 761 thousand people). This is a new record for Russia: both in terms of total arrivals to Antalya (for the peak year of 2017 - 3.8 million, in 2014 - 3.3 million), and in terms of the number of tourists from one foreign market: 4 million visits from only one country to Antalya have not yet been noted.
The tourist flow from Germany, it is in second place in terms of the number of arrivals to Antalya, less than twice the traffic from Russia (1.8 million arrivals, + 32.1% compared to January-September 2017).
The Ukrainian market was able to get to the third place, and showed a result of 646,000 people (a decrease of 2% compared to the same time in 2017).
The main incoming flows of Antalya were Great Britain (+ 68% year-on-year, 531 thousand people) and Poland (+ 143% year-on-year, 353 thousand).
As a result, for 9 months of 2018, the percentage of the Russian market in the total incoming flow to Antalya is 39%, German - 16.9%, Ukrainian - 6.07%, British - 4.99%.
There are forecasts that 14 million foreigners will be able to visit Antalya in 2018.
