Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Guangzhou warns of tightening control measures when entering or transiting through international airports China.
Actions will be taken to verify the compliance of the issued visas with the real purpose of entry. Tourists on smartphones can check photos and videos, and correspondence in the applications WhatsApp, WeChat, Viber.
If incriminating information is found, according to the Chinese authorities, the tourist will not be able to enter the country - he will be placed in a special room where he will wait for the return flight.
Access to it by consular officers or representatives of the airline is prohibited. Meals will be provided once.
“We ask Russian citizens to unconditionally comply with the requirements of Chinese migration legislation and be ready in advance for verification measures at the border,” the ministry said.
According to experts, measures are being taken to protect against illegal immigrants “leaking” through airports in the People’s Republic of China. At risk are young people and transit travelers through China from third countries.
