Russians can travel to Oman on an electronic visa

Sultanate of Oman approved the process of obtaining electronic visas for tourists from Russia.

This is officially reported in the Russian representative office of the Ministry of Tourism of Oman. Russians can independently apply for an electronic visa to travel to Oman through the official website of the Omani police: you need to download documents and pay the consular fee.

Russian travelers should register at evisa.rop.gov.om, and download documents in the Apply for Visa section.

After paying the consular fee through the site, documents are processed from a few hours to a day. In Oman, a printed visa is presented at passport control.

The consular fee depends on the type of visa and the length of stay in the state. The fee for a tourist visa for 10 days - 5 Omani rials (850 rubles), for a visa for 30 days - 20 Omani rials (3400 rubles).

The standard package of documents for obtaining a tourist visa includes: tickets in both directions, a confirmed accommodation reservation, a passport (valid for at least 6 months after the start of the trip) and a photo.

The representative office of the Ministry of Tourism of Oman reminds that a tourist visa can be issued through tour operators and travel agencies of the Russian Federation.

Since the autumn of last year, daily direct flights of Oman Air, the route Moscow – Muscat, began. Russia is included in the list of states with simplified entry to the Sultanate of Oman. Russia is considered one of the main promotion markets for Oman, said Salem Adi Al Mamari, head of the tourism promotion committee of the Ministry of Tourism of Oman.
