Russians will be able to go on tours to the locations of the filming of “Game of thrones”
As part of the Days of British Tourism in Moscow, the British tour operator BSI UK presented tourist products and introduced the domestic tourism business with proposals for the UK and Scotland.
According to Robin Johnson, Visit Britain Europe director, the number of Russians arriving in Britain has remained normal in recent years. In 2018, the country received 181 thousand Russians, and by 2025 the growth of tourist flow is projected by 56%.
We know that in Russia there are many fans of the series “Game of thrones”. Even those who have not watched any episodes know that winter is coming, Jon Snow knows nothing, and Daenerys is the mother of dragons. We hope that thematic tours will appeal to everyone.
Excursion tours to the locations of the filming of “Game of Thrones” – the novelty of the season, soon they can be booked.
Such excursion tours are designed for both fans of the series and connoisseurs of natural beauty. The cost of a 4-day tour per person is at the level of 2500 euros, this cost does not include accommodation (the tourist chooses hotels based on budget and preferences), as well as flights. The tours are designed for both individual tourists and groups, said Anna Tarasova, Sales Director at BSI UK.
Prospects and demand for such tours is very high, since there are many fans of the series and in general they are entertaining.
This tour of Northern Ireland lasts four days. During this time, tourists will see iconic places: Ward Castle in County Down - the very ancestral nest of Winterfell, in which Lord Stark rules his people, or Dark Hedges (picturesque Royal Highway).
The journey starts from the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast. On the first day, tourists stay in the hotel and have dinner in one of the restaurants.
The next day, tourists get acquainted with Belfast Castle, walk around the city, study stained glass windows based on the Game of Thrones.
The third day is dedicated to the forest parks and castles of Down County - Castle and Quintin Bay. In the seven kingdoms, it is the Red Castle, the residence of the Andal king and the first people, his family and court, located in King's Landing, the capital of the Royal Lands. The journey continues through the fantastical world of Game of Thrones at Castle Ward, home of the Starks. Visit the ruins of Inch Abbey, Rob Stark's camp during the battle with the Lannisters.
The excursion day ends in Tollymore Park with fascinating landscapes - Arya Stark walked there on the way to Winterfell. The final day of the program pleases tourists with an acquaintance with the village and caves of Kushendan, Marlowe Bay (slave traders in Essos), Ballintha Bay (the castle of the Greyjoys house, Pike Island).
