The Russians sued almost 90 thousand rubles for lost luggage
A traveler from the city of Kamensk-Ural (Sverdlovsk region) bought a tour to Tunisia in July 2016 in one of the travel agencies of his city. The Russian traveled to the resort by charter flight of Azur Air.
The tourist realized that his luggage was lost at Enfida airport. It was later revealed that his belongings had taken off on another flight to Thailand, on the island of Phuket. This is reported by the website of the Sverdlovsk regional court. At home, the tourist immediately appealed to a public organization that helped him draw up a claim in court.
The district court of the city of Kamensk-Uralsky satisfied the claims of the victim and recovered 75 250 RUB from the carrier. The amount included a fine for late delivery of luggage, for refusal to satisfy the requirements of the passenger and moral compensation for harm. The travel agency must pay the traveler 12 500 RUB fine and compensation for moral damage.
